My kids' ex-kindy, Kay Poh Road Baptist Church Kindergarten, helps to organise a Vacation Bible School every Dec holidays. Daniel has been attending for the past three years, and this is the first year that Benjamin, who is in K1, is old enough to attend too!

I've always been impressed with Kay Poh Road Baptist Church's Vacation Bible School--about 200 kids attend, and about 100 church members volunteer to help out. The older folks help to prepare the craft, cutting things & folding things, while the teens act as group assistants, guides and leaders. It's an amazing effort by this small but active church and it's heartwarming to see everybody, both adults and kids, having such a good time.

As testament to the good time the kids had, both of them INSISTED on writing about VBS in their diaries, even though more than a week had past, and we had done a lot of other activities after VBS. But no, they wanted to write about what they had learned about. Both kids wrote that their favourite part was the games, and that they learned about God's Power. They talked about learning about Naaman's servant girl & David.

It was a bit sad that Daniel's ex-kindergarten friends did not show up for the VBS, except for one--Andrew, but he was in another group. Daniel had a fantastic time in KBK and I was looking forward to seeing his teachers, Mrs Mak, Mrs Tan, Mrs Chai and so on. But in the end, I did not manage to see them amidst the crowd.

All in all, thank you Kay Poh Road Baptist Church for the wonderful VBS and we hope to support you & attend your VBS for many years to come. I can't wait to send Esther there when she turns 5!
