Playing together

Daniel's tennis CCA stopped in September, meaning that he is now able to join Ben & Esther for playground time on Mondays! This has been quite nice, since for the whole year, he's missed out on this.

I'm grateful for the playgrounds we have around our neighbourhood. Although they are not huge and not very accessible by foot (I usually cave in and drive, even though it's like a 1 minute drive!), they provide definite convenient escape especially when everything else has been completed and fun is in order (meaning: piano lessons have been completed by Grandma, we've revised our Chinese to the satisfaction of Tiger Mum Me, we've written our diary entries for the week & we have revised our Math!)

I really love it when my 3 kids play well together. I love to see Daniel being sweet and gentle with little Esther. I love it when Dan and Ben giggle around and don't fight. Sadly, October has been a tremendously busy time at work for me, and I have noticed that when I am busy at work, I get more short with the kids. AND, they consequently actually get short with each other too! It's amazing the spillover effects, which are almost immediate and very palpable!

With God's Help & Grace, I am almost completing my busy period at work and praying very hard to remain patient and calm with the kids. And thank God, the kids are also responding with patience and calmness towards each other. Our most recent playground outing was definitely a happy one, and I praise God for the happy dynamics between the kids, when it does occur!
