Here is a shot from our family outing to East Coast Park during the last week of the school holidays. The June holidays have been so busy, what with the Cambodia Mission Trip and Church Camp taking up all of the first two weeks; and Husband being away for the whole of the 3rd week. So, this family outing was actually THE ONLY family outing we had before school re-opened.
So sad, but at least, it was a very enjoyable time for all of us. We started off by cycling & scooting, visiting the Bedok Jetty to view the fishermen & their catch. Then, we played a bit of soccer in a shady open field--even Esther joined in, though she kept grabbing the ball with her hands and passing it on to us! Finally, we decided quite spontaneously to rent one of those family bicycle carts. These are unique to East Coast Park--they have space for 4 or 5 people, with 2 people having pedals to pedal the cart forward. There's also a steering wheel. The whole contraption looks like an ice cream cart!
With Ben & Esther in the cart, and Husband and I pedalling, we cycled around for 1 whole hour! My legs were limp after that! Daniel rode alongside us in his bike.
We also managed a very decent family shot, using my camera's remote function! You should see the lead-ups to this decent shot--there are some very funny ones indeed!
