Another holiday project: building models!

We have also been busy building models this holiday. Dan has done 3, and Ben 2! Honestly, this is more Dan's thing--as with Lego Technic, he will patiently and quietly sit there for hours cutting & gluing together eensy-weensy pieces of plastic. It baffles me totally! This collage of pictures shows the Apache Helicopter he did--see the guns at the bottom of the plane, one on the left and one on the right? Each section of guns alone came in 6 different parts that had to be attached together! Er, these things are like the size of my fingernail!! And the instruction sheet--wow! I am totally not an engineer type. The sight of it is enough to give me stress palpitations.

Well, I'm sure that Ben is a bit young for model building--he ended up gluing the wings of his F-16 backwards (!), then sort of giving up after that ! But yknow, he is really young! Dan on the other hand can't wait to do his next model, which I told him would have to be during school holidays only.

Overall, even though this, like Lego, is something I don't really enjoy, I am glad to see Dan enjoying it so much & really applying himself to a project.
