Koh Samui #4: What a gorgeous beach!

Posted by spots (Singapore, Singapore) on 15 December 2011 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This stunning scene greeted us when we headed to the beach after Coco Splash & lunch. The water was warm and shallow, the sky bright and blue. We were able to walk all the way out, about 400m, and the water was still below my knees! We saw people para-surfing and fishermen fishing from a craggy rock formation.

This beautiful beach totally reminded me of our 2009 Australian trip--see picture here. The waters here were warmer though.

This is the private beach of Samui Beach Village which is located on the southeast end of Koh Samui, near Lamai Beach.

The boys and I, together with Rachel and her kids, spent the whole afternoon at the beach. They just did not want to leave--and what started out as a 30 minute walk along the beach ended up being a three hour hangout. I changed the boys into their wet suits and they spent their time looking at the clouds, floating like starfish in the water, digging big holes (such a manly thing to do!) and assisting the Soons in catching fish and crabs, using their nets and "bread" bait.

Towards the end, Esther joined us after her nap and then the Husbands returned from their dive trip. An all-in-all wonderful afternoon!
