The last week of the school holidays was made more exciting with Samuel coming for the first sleepover among the cousins! Sammy dropped by in the early afternoon and we headed out to West Coast Park with him, Dan, Ben, Esther, and Grandma! West Coast Park has been recently renovated and there was lots to entertain the boys there--for example, the spider contraption now had two tall slides attached to it. Daniel made it up to the slides, with Sammy and Ben staying below. Daredevil, he.
Esther also found a little red toy engine that she loved. I thought she might fuss, but she was actually quite happy to be put down to crawl around in it, and even pulled herself up and cruised around a bit. =)
Of course, we had cheesy macaroni for dinner--the boys' FAVOURITE. And then it was off to bed by 8.30pm--or at least, we said good night and closed the door on them at 8.30pm. During the day the cousins had had fun playing Beyblade (Sammy had a Beyblade case), doing mock taekwondo moves on each other, and building Lego. I peeped in on them at night, and caught Daniel halfway through a Ninja-like move creeping towards Sammy who was covering himself with his blanket in mock-fear. ... ! I'm not sure how it happened, but eventually they all went to sleep like good little boys, and woke up bright and cheery the next day. ^__^
I really enjoyed having 3 boys and a baby to take care of. Hmm...
