A Crafty Christmas #2

Posted by spots (Singapore, Singapore) on 24 December 2010 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

As part of our crafty Christmas, we also did homemade Christmas cards for our family & friends this year. We did this over the course of the first 2 weeks of the holidays--using spurts of time to design the cards & then painstakingly writing in them and then decorating the envelopes and sending them off. Even Benjamin wrote in some of the cards!

I'm having a lot of fun with this year's crafty Christmas. But I have learnt that when you put in so much effort for something, you must be prepared that some people may not necessarily appreciate it as much as the effort that you put in. Still, it is not the appreciation that drives the effort, right?

Hi, I'm trying to get around as many of you as possible in a relatively short time to wish you all a very Happy Christmas.

We love the card that you all crafted. In this present time, I observe that we hardly receive any X'mas cards in the mail. Such greeting cards arriving in the mail box are a rarity and will soon be classified "endangered specie" soon; thanks to the internet and the mobile phone. We will, as always, keep the "green" card that we receive from you all on X'mas day.

Bah humbug to the non-crafty. We were thrilled with your card and will be keeping it too!
