Ben reading!

Here's a little video capturing Benjamin progressing in his reading abilities. He can read simple words now & can blend sounds, although not always correctly. Here, he's reading a delightful book called "Are you my mother?" which really tickles him with the funny story & nice illustrations.

As with Daniel, we started off by recognising the alphabets (2years old), then by learning/memorising 1-letter and 2-letter words (2.5years old). Then 3-letter words, then 4-letters (3years old). Then, we moved to blending sounds and now he's reading based on a combination of memorisation of words as well as blending sounds. ^__^

Spots, you have been doing great in giving both Dan and Ben the basic literacy steps towards their future. You already have stirred their creativity. How about another mental skill in arithmetic ?
