A homemade castle!

OK, I know it doesn't really look like a castle. It's more of a "place" with lots of towers. ... But the point is, we made it and we had fun!

This "castle" was made 2 weeks ago--that week was somewhat tough as the boys were home all 5 weekdays in the afternoon. (Usually, the in laws take them out one afternoon, and my mum comes over another afternoon to take them to the playground.) So, I found myself having to juggle 1 infant and 2 boys, for 5 days!

It wasn't too bad--this castle craft project took us all afternoon. We rolled the towers & tops of the towers using paper, securing them with tape. We used an old shoebox cover for the base. And we stuck everything together using... PLAYDOH! HAHAHA. Then, we found some old wooden chairs, which we painted, and the boys spent the rest of the afternoon "furnishing" the castle with playmobil horses, soldiers, cannons and so on.

That week, we also made a homemade volcano, using a volcano kit that Daniel got for his birthday from Linus, like, 2 years ago! The boys were very excited to see the vinegar and bicarbonate soda create the "lava"!

So much for craft... !! I think I am getting more and more "crafty" these days, out of necessity!

Daniel is also loving craft more. He'll make Roman soldier flags, drawing his own crest (with an eagle and lightning!) and he even made his own wallet out of paper & tape!!! Totally unusable... but still. Quite creative!

So... how shall I entertain my boys next week? Help!!!
