Dan and Ben: painting parrots

Posted by spots (Singapore, Singapore) on 22 June 2010 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

Our art project this week was painting parrots! Once again, I sketched the parrot, then got them to copy it. Dan's painting is on the left--it is indeed a more accurate sketch of the parrot I drew, which had a long bushy tail and a V-shaped tail. Once again, Ben's parrot was more "rounded"--the head looks rounder, the tail is too! It's a cuter parrot, but definitely less accurate--note the not so pretty jaggedy lines demarcating the different colours on the parrot. ^__^

As the June hols comes to an end, I am getting increasingly nostalgic about this period. A 4 year old and a 3 year old are actually a lot of fun to spend time with, and this has been a good period of extra time with the boys, before Esther comes out! Surprisingly, I have not felt overly exhausted or "xian" during this June hols, perhaps because God is giving me strength and because I know that Esther will come soon, and so I better enjoy this time with the boys!

Praise God for quiet enjoyable times with the kids... before the storm of a newborn arrives! bwahahaha

I love how hands-on your are with developing your children's creativity =) They're lucky to have such a clever mommy!
