Baby clothes for Esther!
Before going off for a playdate this morning, I found some time to sort out some baby clothes which had been kindly passed to me by friends. I was delighted that everything was soooo pretty and pink and .... ooh! Forgive me, but thus far, I've been used to clothing my kids in just normal stuff, cos they're boys. But finally, I am ooh-ing and aah-ing at clothes that are so tiny and so beautiful! Even Dan and Ben found me amusing as I kept asking them to "look at this" "so cuuute!" ...
The last time I blogged about baby clothes, it was in January 2007, about 3 weeks before Ben's arrival. In my first 3 years of marriage, I had 2 kids. Then, we rested. ^__^. And now, after 6 years of marriage, we're finally going at it again, and trading the comfortable life of 2 kids sleeping through the night, playing together, eating well, out of diapers... trading all of that for another round of sleepless nights, worrying about weaning, breastfeeding, intolerable crying, swaddling, projectile poop, and so on.
Sometimes, I do wonder, "What are we thinking?"
Still, as Husband says, I'm confident that Esther will grow up and "complete" the family. The boys will benefit from having a sister around, I'm sure. Another female, other than their mother. And I'm sure Esther will be happy to have 2 male bodyguards to help her "sieve" through men and choose her boyfriend/husband wisely. Ha Ha. OK, that's thinking way ahead. Let's get through the sleepless nights first!
I really thank God that the boys have become much better at playing together, leaving me some time to sort out issues like clothing & finding wardrobe space for Esther, stocking up on things and other practical matters. I really also thank God for all the friends / relatives who have kindly offered their baby clothes to us -- such a blessing! At 31 weeks, I am about 5-6 weeks away from popping (as I tend to pop at 36-37 weeks). Do pray for us, that the remaining time will be spent enjoying family time & preparing for "what lies ahead". Thank you!
