The $30 set lunch @ Tetsuya, Goodwood Hotel. Extremely delicious & worth it, esp if you have a Jap craving. The California sushi had orange roe that was so fresh, it actually popped in your mouth! I also especially loved the tempura--the floured coating had a special flavour to it. They must have added something, but I couldn't discern what. And the chawanmushi had a layer of juice added on top--I can't remember what it was again, but it added a slightly citrus-y scent & flavour to the steamed egg dish, which was really nice. We sat at the counter and got to see the chefs slice up the sashimi. Yums! Too bad I didn't eat any, since I am preggers. The chef gave us a hint that fresh fish gets flown in on Tuesdays and Fridays, so the best times to have sashimi are Tuesdays and Fridays. Take note, ya? =)

Reservations are required.

the citrusy flavour could be yuzu, it's a common flavour in Japanese food
