My last entry on our family's trip to Western Australia. I forgot to mention that I consider this our first ever major overseas family trip. Previous trips were to Phuket, or Hua Hin, when Dan was under 1 year old. I wouldn't see those as family trips, but rather a couple's trip, with a baby thrown in. Then, we went overseas and did driving trips here and there, but nothing MAJOR in terms of flying. After we returned to Singapore, with 2 kids in tow, we took 1 family trip to Phuket again--that was quite disastrous and Ben was under 2 years old, and found it hard to adjust to the hotel cot. He also fell sick and we cut short our trip. Also, it rained a lot. Ha. There was a lovely family trip with the Fongs to Port Dickson--that was thoroughly enjoyable, but not really a major overseas trip involving airplanes and so on.
So really, I'd say that this trip was our first major family holiday overseas. I was a bit nervous, to be honest. But I also felt more confident knowing that Daniel and Benjamin, at 4 yrs 3 months and 2 years 9 months, should be more mature and adaptable, than before.
I really do thank God for this wonderful holiday, which came at a great time. This is a parting shot of us attempting to take a family photo at a secluded cliff spot at Yallingup--the camera shook out of place due to the strong winds, just at the last moment. But I think it is a cuute photo!
Now, it's back to regular programming--back to Singapore life!
