Dan: first boat ride

Posted by
spots (Singapore, Singapore) on 9 June 2007 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

We went to a friend's place for BBQ. They lived at Redwood Shores, near Redwood City, and there was a beautiful artificial lake there, with a playground nearby. Dan took his first boat ride (on a canoe!). It was simply beautiful. I still can't get over how large this country is, and how the average American will be able to own his own house, with his own backyard, garage, garden... and sometimes, even canoe (to go boating in the lake with!). I will definitely miss the open spaces and the prosperity of this country.

Life is made up of "experiences". The Lau Family there, I must add, surely enjoy all your experiences throughout your stay there, although I can't say much about Ben who is too young to appreciate it. Back home here, we can only experience what you all do; virtually I mean.:-) And we enjoy the phtos you post on this blog. Thanks Spot!

Hi Ruth, sorry for the long absence. My exams and assignments are almost at an end! I hope you and your family are acclimatising to Singapore smoothly. You and your family are in my prayers. Keep putting up those amazing photos! That lake looks smashing! =D
