Esther squeaks & Ben reads & video

Esther has been making some very cuute girly squeaky noises recently and I caught it on camera--it's very melodic and sing song and very girly. I certainly don't recall any of my boys making these noises--they were more like grrwoar rrowar rrrooaar! Whereas Esther is all like, "Rooo pur pur, ahhhr, pur pur rroooo!" It's fascinating.

Watch this video. I also caught Ben doing some reading on this video--he's reading Frog & Toad, a very nice book! At 4 years old, he's doing pretty well for reading, methinks, though still some ways to go before truly independent reading takes off. And yes, Esther IS chewing on my pen in the video. Don't worry, I was watching her carefully.

Last thing to update: Dan has chicken pox! He got it from school friends, and looking on the bright side, it's better to have it and be done with it now than later, right? Also, he's been very cheerful--I think the viral medication the doctor gave is making him a bit hyper actually (maybe it's too sweet!) and he's happy to stay at home and do lego and craft, so it's not a big deal. I am a bit worried that Esther will get it too, and she's so young, but then again, I suppose it is better for kids to get chicken pox while they are kids, and not adults!
