A Crafty Christmas #1Posted by spots (Singapore, Singapore) on 23 December 2010 in Food & Cuisine and Portfolio. This year, I've been very crafty. I made my kids bake cookies as presents for the extended family--we used a cookie mix from the shop at Tanjong Katong Complex, which I blogged about before. This time, we used the strawberry cookie mix and it was not bad, though I prefer the lavender cookie mix better. These were packaged into little paper bags, and we decorated them using stamps and sealed them with coloured twine. I'm happy that using the method I described before, we churned out about 50 cookies or so and decorated them too. The kids did not lose interest in the project, and of course, it helped that Husband was on hand to help manage the bustle. Dan and Ben got pretty creative with the cookie designs. We made cyclops cookies, i.e., gingerbread man-shaped cookies with one eye only! We also made socks & underwear for the gingerbread man-shaped cookies using rainbow sprinkles! Eh... Of course, there were also the alien cookies, with 6 eyes and so on. Baby Esther was already present--she was sitting in her chair, flailing her arms and staring at her feet. ^__^ We also made homemade granola, packaged in jars from Spotlight, for the family!
