fish and chips!

i hadn't cooked this in a long time cos for some reason, my last few tries didnt quite work out. but this time, i managed to get it right, once again. Which was nice. i used the same recipe as before. The batter was light, crisp and lovely.

the great thing abt having slightly older kids is that they can eat anything and they can verbalise whether they like it or not. both dan and ben walloped their portions of fish and chips & declared that it was their 'favourite', even though i had never cooked it for them before. =) anyway, it was a pleasantly happy wednesday dinner! =)

p.s. i suspect that the reason why my last few tries failed is because i did not use a full 1.5 cups of self raising flour. this time, i made sure my "cups" were full, so the batter was much nicer.
