Daniel the Page Boy!

Look! Look! Look!

These were taken a few weeks back when I took Daniel to shop for a Page Boy suit during the Sep hols. We went to Tom & Stefanie @ Tiong Bahru Plaza, which sells a nice range of suits & flower girls dresses. I must admit, I had a lot of fun dressing Daniel up in the dressing room--we tried 2 suits and a variety of ties. Daniel too was very excited about his new "costume". Yes, he calls it his Page Boy Costume, along the same lines as Batman Costume, Superman Costume, Firefighter Costume etc.,

The wedding was this morning--and I'm glad to report that Daniel did just fine. He surpassed our expectations and walked slowly & steadily down the L-shaped aisle, without must coaxing, WITHOUT jumping or hopping, and without need for much instruction. Oh, God is merciful!! (hoho.... ) I mean, this is the kid who barely a year ago, would rather hop down the street winking one eye and barking, "rough! rough!" rather than walking like any other normal 3 year old. ???? Or was that only last week ?? ^^_^^

But Daniel is now 4 years old, as he very proudly tells anyone who asks. And we have stressed to no end that 4 year olds are big boys who can listen to instructions and obey. I was really very proud of Daniel--but unfortunately, I did not get any photos of him walking down the aisle because I was busy singing on stage. Husband also did not take any pictures.

We shall have to wait for the official photographers to "loan" us their shots. But the memory of him walking slowly and steadily and almost with a look of earnest determination on his face is pricelessly seared into my memory !
