At PalawanPosted by spots (Singapore, Singapore) on 18 June 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. Today we went to Palawan Beach to check out the Sentosa festivities. Sentosa put up this new website Palawan featuring all the fun stuff kids can do during the school hols by the beach. It seemed exciting enough. ^__^ Verdict? "Ok la." There were a couple of tents and stalls serving food and offering games like jumping around in a foam machine, water play and even some educational games. But they were largely un-patronised, except for the foam machine which was wildly popular. The kids weren't too keen on foam, and in any case, I hadn't brought their wetsuits, so we did our favourite regular thing--hang out by the beach. Since we were at Palawan, and our regular spot was taken because it was super-crowded, we sat down at Club Islander, where there were beach chairs and umbrellas. It DID mean that I had to buy a drink--an apple juice--but that was ok, since I got a discount for it with my Islander card and the kids split the drink--well-needed hydration on a super sunny but still breezey day. We spent an hour digging sand, blowing bubbles and building a sand mountain. I'm happy to report that Dan, who used to be so scared of waves, now happily came with me to collect water from the sea, and even tried to collect water himself (with me monitoring him of course) twice! YAAY. Ben is still the scaredy cat when it comes to waves. Think it's an age thing la.
