Sentosa Fun & videoPosted by spots (Singapore, Singapore) on 15 June 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. Sentosa is fast becoming our family's favourite no-fuss hangout spot of choice. The kids love it and here's how a typical outing will go: First, we'll wait at the tram station for either the tram to palawan or the tram to siloso. It doesn't matter which one we take--the fun for the kids is in the sitting in the tram! So, we hop on and take a long tram ride. We don't get off until the tram makes at least 1 entire loop! Then, we get off. If we take the Siloso train, we stop at the far end where Delifrance & Cool Station are. If we take the Palawan train, we stop closer to Koufu and the water play area. I spread out a mat, take out the beach toys, fill a bucket with sea water, and then sit down to read a book while Dan and Ben "play sand". This could range from making mountains and valleys, to filling their dump truck with sand, to writing their names and drawing faces. Dan is much less scared of waves now and will even go and fetch water himself from the beach! A major step, since he used to be such a scaredy cat... Finally, the kids will decide it's enough sand play for the day. If we're at Siloso, we'll clean up and take a bus home from the Underwater World station--yet another vehicular transport treat for the kids! If we're at Palawan, inevitably, wet suits will be put on and there'll be some splashing around at the water play area. An all in all outing of fun. And quite fuss free, such that I'll even do it with the kids when Husband is not around! Here are 2 videos we took when we went to Sentosa last week: 1. Dan & Ben sharing ice cream
