Blue LagoonPosted by spots (Singapore, Singapore) on 13 June 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. We avoided the main public beaches Port Dickson and opted to hunt for Blue Lagoon, a beach Husband had heard was really pretty. OK, it was a really tough find--very small signs, lots of turns, but we eventually found it by asking for help from locals! And it was beautiful! Similar to Perhentian and Koh Samui, the water was shallow enough for you to walk out 1km and the water would only come up to your knees or slightly below. We saw lots of locals, including a few youth holding buckets and catching crabs way out in the water. Ben was super scared of the waves and refused to walk in the water, but, surprisingly, Dan eventually warmed up to the shallow waters and was soon splashing around, running, dashing here and there ! (He's usually such a scaredy cat about everything!) The beach itself was not crowded and the sand was not the brown-red sand you find in other beaches in Port Dickson. It was.... WHITE! Well, very very light brown la. :) It was a lovely morning by the quiet blue beach--when the sun came out around 10am, things started to look quite pretty. Here's a whole group shot :)
