Lego 'templates'!

Posted by spots (Singapore, Singapore) on 3 November 2008 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

We have so much lego but sometimes we run out of new ideas as to what to build. Daniel typically builds a few "favourites"--a swimming pool, a birthday cake, and of course--a plethora of "vehicles" including a tow truck, a container truck, a crane truck, a long train, an airplane and a fire truck. It's all great, but I did start wondering recently if I could find some Lego 'templates' online, so that we could inspire ourselves to build other stuff.

Guess what I found?
LOADS of Lego 'templates'. It took a bit of searching--but eventually, I found them in the Lego website, under Customer Service--Building Instructions. Check out this link. You can search by object, e.g., airplane, or scroll and look under "Creative Building DUPLO" or "Creative Building System" for general ideas. Plus, you can download the pics for free. The pic above is but one page of pics, giving you ideas on how to build planes, trains and so on. And there's loads of pages / PDFs! So cool!

After my first batch of downloads, I quickly made Dan and Ben an airplane, a helicopter and a ship! They loved it! And one day, I hope they'll be able to build their own stuff!
