Chocolate FonduePosted by spots (Singapore, Singapore) on 31 October 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. On a whim, we decided to head out to Pasir Ris Park over last weekend. I found a coupon for free chocolate fondue in our National Day Parade coupon pack (that came with the NDP goodie bag) and it was expiring 31 Oct. So off we went! To Beach Culture Restaurant at Pasir Ris Park, to claim our free chocolate fondue! It turned out to be a great experience. The beach at Pasir Ris Park was quite empty, though not as clean as Sentosa. Still, it beat chortling the crowds at East Coast Park. And the restaurant was a nice, laid back place. The waitress must have young kids too, cos she was very understanding of our kids & even played with them a bit. We quickly dispensed of the main course and out came the chocolate fondue, with a nice platter of fruits & marshmallows. It was Daniel & Benjamin's first chocolate fondue experience. And as you can tell, they really got into it. Who doesn't love chocolate?? And for some reason, they started thrusting their thin forks into the sky and calling for the birds to come and eat their chocolate. It was really funny when they both did it in unison. ^__^ At one point, Ben thrust his fork up with such gusto that he flung his piece of banana across to the other end of the restaurant. I had the embarrassing honour of slinking across the floor to retrieve the sullied piece of fruit. But we all had a good laugh. Which reminds me.... we actually have a fondue pot at home. Hmm.... maybe it's time to take that out huh :)
