I was just thrilled this Mother's Day when Daddy decided to galvanise the boys to bake chocolate chip cookies for me. There was such an air of excitement in the kitchen and it was so delightful to see Daniel 'cooking'. When Daniel saw the butter, he thought it was 'cheese'. When he stirred the batter, he called it 'porridge'. And when the cookies came out of the oven, he declared them, "Pancakes!" HAHAHA. In the meantime, Ben was just scurrying around, looking busy, anticipating something, but not quite knowing what. :)
Check out these lovely videos. Here, here and here.
This has been a wonderful Mother's Day for me, and of course all the thanks must go to Husband who decided to do something special. As we have shared with many friends recently, we are really entering the stage of truly enjoying our boys a lot more. So I was glad during this weekend to feel a sense of 'appreciation' from my kids, no matter how small it was. Happy Mother's Day out there!
Happy Mother's Day to you .. Ruth..!

And a blessed Mother's Day to you too! Was trying to chase you both down to talk today but every time I managed to see you guys, I had to do something and the next moment you'd be gone...

Daniel is soo cute! And so is Benjamin, of course! :) I like what he said in your last video and I guess that just makes being a mommy so rewarding huh? And well done Bim for organizing the great cookie bakeout! Happy Mother's Day to you Ruth! :)

OH...... The videos sure reflect our way of marking Mother's Day, with everyone chipping in in our own ways. In this Dan sure has graduated from "masak masak" cooking to actually helping out in preparing food for this occasion. We definitely enjoy the biscuit that Dan helped to prepare. :-)
