Benjamin: picky picky picky

How many bottles are there in the market? Tons. We should know. We bought 5 different ones because Son. no. 2 Mr Benjamin Lau here started slowly but surely refusing the bottle over the past 12 weeks of his little life. At first, he drank fine - wolfing down 135ml at one go (from day 3 or thereabouts). Then, a few weeks later, he would take only 80ml and then refuse anymore. Fast forward a few more weeks again, and he would only take 60ml. Then, only 30ml! In desperation, we bought a whole bunch of newfangled bottles, with special bottoms, special teats, special shapes.

Finally, we found 2 that he likes - Dr Brown and the newly released (in early 2007)First Years Breast Flow. Another thing we did that helped - Husband or Mother started feeding him the bottle, instead of me. A lovely friend of mine, J, mentioned that he might be refusing the bottle cos I was feeding him. Hmm... Good point J! And thanks for the tip!

With his acceptance of the bottle (finally!), I've been able to skip a feed here and there to go out once in a while. Praise God!
