Don't ask me why but Husband took lots of crabby (not crappy!) pictures today, this one included. Some of them are really funny - crab on bicycle, crab on tree stump, crab eating grape, crab on grass. Go to our flickr set for the whole range!
It all started after church, with a trip down to Bill's Crabby Crabs, a boat that sells live crabs at Half Moon Bay. Then, Husband made Singapore chilli crab using a Prima Taste Mix and we had a lovely outdoor picnic with a few of our neighbours. The chilli crab was amazingly good (for a spice mix!) and I suppose that must have put Husband in a happy mood - hence all the crab pics! (By the way, the crab in the photo has been cooked! We were so stuffed, we couldn't finish it but put it to good use - i.e., photographic fun!)

This is a pretty unique shot! A crab picking a flower is a rare fine indeed! Nice!

Well the foodie in me would weep for the uneaten crab but I really love the photo - its concept and execution. The tiny daisy is the perfect foil to the big, bright red crab. The crabs in Australia (or at least the ones more readily obtainable) don't have huge claws too...more's the pity. When I get back to Melbourne, I'll be more than happy to type out the recipe for making Singapore Black Pepper Crab for you if you don't already have it. It's heaps easy to do (except the killing and cleaning bits) and its always been a hit with the people I have over...although given that most of them are starving students...their standards are a bit suspect =D.

Don't you know Bim's favorite seafood is..........CRAB. Yes, he sometimes suffers gastronomically from too much crab, especially on some of his overseas trips. You should get hold of that Black Pepper Crab recipe quickly. But... hope he doesn't suffers.. ... emphhh...... :-)
