preggers: big or small?

so here i am, a preggers of 32 weeks. a full term delivery is 40 weeks, so you can see i'm moving speedily along to my due date - just 8 weeks more, or possibly less! (daniel was born at 38.5 weeks!) so is my bump big or small? what do u think?

well, i think i look small, but oddly, i am actually heavier than i was when i was preggers with daniel - and this is despite all the physical exercise i am currently getting chasing after my active toddler son! anyhoo, it doesn't really matter - the doctor has said the baby is the right size & weight for his age, based on his examination & asians tend to be on the small side anyway. the only worrying thing is that even though the baby is gaining weight properly, i have not gained any weight at all in the last 3 weeks! this can only mean that i have lost some weight to compensate for the baby's weight gain. i suppose this gives me the perfect excuse to "pig out" and eat all the things i'm currently craving for: ice cream, sushi, butter chicken, and my favourite hainanese chicken rice. YUMS!! i'm drooling already ... :)

That is fast! It seems like yesterday when you announced your pregnancy and you are popping soon! Isn't it great that you didn't gain weight on the last 3 weeks? Yes, perfect excuse to 'pig out'. Hahaha..

You're so blessed to not have put on weight!!! In the last 6 weeks I've put on 3kg (am 28 weeks this week), but am having moderate water retention in my legs so doc thinks some of it might be water weight. But my sister only put on 9kg for her second baby, and I've surpassed that already! :( Am increased my pre-baby weight by almost 20% already. No wonder my feet hurt!

Hi Judy, yes it is nice to remain 'slim' - though I guess a bit worrying too!
Hi skgoh - don't worry abt the weight! U'll lose it all breastfeeding trust me! For Daniel, I put on 11kg. For this one, I surpassed that a month ago already! But people still say I look small, esp all the ang mo here :)

Hi frances - yknow, everybody has complimented me on that sweater - and i mean everybody! it's actually from ross ... a discount store, real affordable non-maternity stuff! i jus picked the XXL and shrunk it a bit in the wash! :)

You look small! Even when my sis met you she said you were smaller than I was. I feel like a whale - put on 4lbs in the last 3 weeks! Oh well, like you said, breastfeeding should make it go away. @Esther: hi esther, i'm so glad u liked that tiramisu recipe - it's a real winner isn't it? too bad i can't hv any now that i'm preggers (coffee & alcohol are no nos for preggers)... but i'll definitely keep making tiramisu aft i give birth. will keep u posted!
